Petition against the giant incinerator in Gloucester

We the undersigned call on the County Council not to build a giant incinerator in Gloucester capable of burning 160,000 tonnes of waste a year as an alternative to landfill, contrary to their manifesto promises not to introduce incinerators, and instead look at other methods of disposal.

Two sites that the Conservative County Council are looking at for their giant incinerator are in Quedgeley and also on the edge of Gloucester in Haresfield.
