Gloucester MP Parmjit Dhanda visited the Oaks Children’s Centre on Saturday to mark the opening the new £780,000 children’s centre.
Parmjit planted a tree to mark the beginning of the centre's life in the Tuffley community.
The new centre will offer a wide range of facilities for local people including a play room for families to drop in and play with
their children, a crèche, and a training kitchen for parents. The centre’s staff will offer helpful courses including specialist parenting courses and a baby
clinic.
Parmjit said, “I was honoured to have been invited to plant a tree to mark the opening of the
Oak’s Children’s Centre. With a dedicated team of staff and great facilities and services, this new £780,000 centre will make a real difference to families throughout Tuffley.”
